The Jane Zhang disco music in 2010
On February 2, 2010 is the release date of the album “Believe in Jane” (我相信) produced by ShowCityTimes and distributed by Universal Music label. In this work, the Dolphin Princess bets, for the first time, on tracks with a considerably faster rhythm than those published in previous years.
Believe in Jane
This is the case of “Hot” (热), written for her by Michael Jay, Jennifer Merle Karr and Johnny Pedersen, “I Do“, also composed by a trio of US authors who go by the name of Pete Barringer, Fran Balke and Gerig Watts and “Happy” (快活) written by Aadia (阿弟仔) who wrote 5 songs for “Believe in Jane” and produced the whole album.
Jane Zhang disco music: Can’t Do It
Also by Aadia is the track #8 entitled “Can’t Do It” (辦不到) aka “No Way“, a piece that winks both electronic music, disco music and rap/hip-hop with a little bit of j-pop instrumental influences. The song is overwhelming and is composed to be sung by Jane along with another voice. The “Da Mouth” (大嘴巴) are chosen.
“Da Mouth”
The “Da Mouth” were a band formed in 2007 and winner of two Golden Melody Awards. The group, considered as the asian “Black Eyed Peas“, officially is Taiwanese but its members are among their different origins: MC 40 is half Canadian and the other half Taiwanese, the male voice, Harry (張懷秋) is Korean-Taiwanese-American, DJ Chung Hua (宗華) is of Japanese origin but was born in Taiwan, and the female voice of the group, Senda Aisa (愛紗) is Japanese.
The band records the piece and then let it listen to Jane who is very impressed by the sound and agrees to interpret it with them, making some small changes. The choice is such a great success that immediately after was entrusted to Lai Wei Kang (赖伟康), well-known Taiwanese director, the MV production in which fans can enjoy a Jane in a fresh and unedited “dance version”.
Official MV
And precisely to provide an “edgy” cut to the dance part of this MV, Jane addresses two famous choreographers / dancers for the realization of the dance steps: Tucker Barkley and Nick DeMoura.
Tucker is the choreographer of some famous Britney Spears music videos: “Til the World Ends“, “Hold it Against Me” and “Circus“.
Instead Nick was the dancer and choreographer of “My World Tour” by Justin Bieber and later also oversaw the choreography, also for Bieber, of the “Believe Tour“. In addition it was also choreographer for Ne-Yo and the Pussycat Dolls.
So Jane promptly flies to the States during the Chinese New Year holidays to work with the two artists to prepare the dancing part of the new video clip.

Lyrics
“Can’t Do It” Lyrics:
Yo~ Ah~
Since DJ Aisa to the mouth
Harry秋 in the house
And DJ 宗华 in the house
Four ~ 0~ you know i’m in the house
Here’s my girl Jane yeah~
Hit it
今天起Ah Ah Ah Ah OUT
今天起Ah Ah Ah Ah OUT
干脆说Ah Ah Ah Ah OUT
YOU WIN I WIN
A A 哪天要崩溃
A A 爱完美
干脆说Ah Ah Ah Ah OUT
