Returning to the latest news, it is worth mentioning that now the celebrations moved to China by taking advantage of the promotional campaign designed to advertise on Chinese territory next Marvel’s film, “Avengers: Infinity War – Part I“. Jane, top guest of the event, took to the stage with a very sexy look entirely made in Italy: the black jacket with belt at the waist was signed by Roberto Cavalli, modello “SAHARIANA”. Diesel shorts model “DE-GINGER”, made of denim fabric, were also black and almost completely covered by the jacket.
At the foot a pair of di plateau sandals model “CELEBRITA” by “René Caovilla”, famous Venetian brand: karung leather, stiletto heels, glitter sole and a thin ankle strap closed with small side buckle. The performance of Jane Zhang at the Marvel event in Shanghai
Beautiful legs on show and beautiful songs sung by Jane from her huge repertoire. Jane started the show with “Dream It Possible“, the Huawei Consumer brand song composed by Andy Love, whose English version is sung by Delacey, while the Chinese version has been entrusted by Huawei to Jane.
The other two songs of the evening were “Down the River” (順流而下), theme song of “Candle in the Tomb“, lucky Chinese web series also known as “Ghost Blows Out the Light” and “Work For It“.
Jane Zhang and Disney: the opening of the Shanghai Disney Resort
It’s worth mentioning that the Marvel Studios are from 2009 a subsidiary company of “The Walt Disney Studios“, in turn owned by “The Walt Disney Company” and, just with Disney, Jane has had the opportunity to cooperate in China for various events.
The most important among them dates back to June 2016. We are talking about the opening ceremony of the “Shanghai Disney Resort”, the first Disney resort in mainland China. During that gala night Jane performed singing, among other things, “A Whole New World” (from the film “Aladdin“) and “Some Day My Prince Will Come” (song from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs“).
Jane on the international stage of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
On that occasion Jane met Hamish Hamilton, one of the most acclaimed directors on the international scene to which some of the greatest shows ever staged in the world are credited. Hamilton was the director at the Disney gala and, later, it was he who wanted to Jane on November 20 in Shanghai as performer at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show of which, as well as director, he was also a producer.
During that glamour evening, which was the most anticipated fashion event of the year around the globe, Jane shared the stage with international music characters such as Harry Styles (formerly One Direction), Miguel and Leslie Odom Jr.
Work For It
That was a great opportunity and so Jane presented the world premiere of the song “Work For It” which, a few hours later the official release, straightaway entering the Top 10 of the iTunes US download chart, followed closely by another Jane’s song, “808 (Jack Novak Remix)“, also present in the medley presented at VSFS.
“Work For It” was actually recorded in 2014, and more or less this is the recording date for all the singles involved in the new album, but it comes out only now, after a modernisation process of the arrangements strongly wanted by Jane in collaboration with Timbaland and his production staff.
Jane says: “I grew up with Disney songs”
Last year, after attending the 2017 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas in special quality of ambassador to China, Jane released a nice video interview in New York just at the headquarters of Billboard. In this interview Jane told to have been “contaminated” during her teenage years, from the beautiful music of the Disney animated film.
Jane Zhang sings Disney classics
A few months later, on September 5th, Jane was again working with Disney for “The Walt Disney Company Greater China 2018 Kick Off Meeting” held in Shanghai. It was the opportunity for the Dolphin Princess to sing some famous pieces taken from the soundtracks of Disney masterpieces: “Reflection” (“Mulan“, 1998), “A Whole New World” (“Aladdin“, 1992), “Beauty and The Beast” (1991), “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” (“The Lion King“, 1994) e “Try Everything” (from the most recent “Zootopia“, 2016), sung in the original movie soundtrack by Shakira and interpreted for the occasion by Jane together with Jocelyn Chan, also known as Jocelyn C (陳明憙), musician and talented songwriter also present at the ceremony organized by Marvel few days ago.
Jane Zhang and the Russo brothers, directors of “Avengers: Infinity War”
Going back to the superheroes movie will tell you a little curiosity: Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of “Avengers: Infinity War” are “old acquaintances” of Jane. Here a short video of the two brothers Russo, shot with Jane’s phone on May 4, 2016 in New York during the After Party of the premiere of “Captain America: Civil War“. Following a selfie from March of the previous year published by Jane on Instagram.
Avenger: Infinity War, the new Marvel movie
The film will be released in Italian cinemas on April 25, 2018, in US on April 27 (initially scheduled for May 4 but then it was choosed to anticipate its release) and for mainland China is set for May 11.
This is the official trailer
In the film directed by the Russian brothers Robert Downey Jr. reprise the role of Iron Man, alongside Chris Evans in the role of Captain America, Chris Hemsworth in the role of Thor and Mark Ruffalo in that of Hulk.
Here is the official synopsis:
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
The film is the first part of a story whose sequel is temporarily named “Avengers 4” and will be released on 3 May 2019. The part II will be directed by the Russo Brothers and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeel.
The expectations for this exciting film are many: we talk about the highest peak ever achieved by Marvel and that will be the culmination of 10 years of success on the big screen. The company has released a new video that traces its history since the dawn of the Marvel film universe.
A little ‘history of Marvel Studios
Compared to the total history of Marvel, which is almost 80 years old, that of the Studios is to be considered short. In 1998, Marvel shook trade agreements with 20th Century Fox sold the film rights of the X-Men. In the following years there are other productions, among which the series of Spider-Man that was produced by Sony Pictures.
Since 2005, Marvel Studios decided that they would begin to independently produce their own films and distribute them through Paramount. This is because the agreements with the two previous film companies over rights of his characters had yielded little, and also for the wish to exercise greater creative control over their projects. The right opportunity arrives December 31, 2009, when the Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment for $ 4 billion: born Marvel Studios whose plan is to bring a large number of superheroes to the big screen and then bring them together in the same world narrative.
Best wishes, therefore, to both the Marvel both Jane Zhang who is always present in China when talking about the wonderful world of Disney. Jane is becoming an artist of global fame and I’d like to see in the future an artistic collaboration with the US entertainment giant also outside of Chinese territory.
For someone like me, who is obviously a fan of the wonderful Dolphin Princess but is also a life-long fan of the Disney universe, it would be an incomparable joy!
