Welcome back Jane fans.
Today’s news is precious, Jane Zhang, the Queen of asiatic pop music returns to international scenes: a few hours has been released (at now only in China, but any minute on the music stores all over the globe) Jane Zhang’s new single “Work For It“.

So after Dust My Shoulder Off, this is the second single of Jane’s long-awaited album in English.

The album, as announced by Jane in an interview at the Billboard’s headquarters in New York, was entirely made with the collaboration of Timbaland, American rapper and producer, King Mida of the US record market and will see the light a single at a time.

On November 20, Jane gave a “Work For It” tasting to her fans at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai during the most anticipated fashion event of the year: the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to which she participated with others 3 great performers of the international scene: Harry Styles (ex One Diretion), Miguel and Leslie Odom Jr.

The event will be aired, as usual in deferred about a week, in a few hours on CBS and in streaming on  CBS All Access.

The wait for Jane’s participation at the VSFS 2017 was as great and so was the curiosity of listening to the new piece, which for about 30 seconds the arena was literally silenced and even the event’s organizers, along with the director and executive producer Hamish Hamilton, who had already collaborated with Jane at the inauguration cerimony of Shanghai Disney Resort,  made sure that during those 30 seconds the super-model, the Angels of Victoria’s Secret, didn’t parade on the runaway, so that the stage was all about Jane .

Jane Zhang Work For It

The song was actually recorded in 2014, and more or less this is the recording date for all the singles involved in the new album, but it comes out only now, after a modernisation process of the arrangements strongly wanted by Jane in collaboration with Timbaland and his production staff.

The sound is original and immersive, Jane’s voice is just as surprising, and this new piece has a quality level comparable to last year’s hit “Dust My Shoulder Off” that was released on October 14, 2016 with Montage Records label and positioned fourth in the iTunes downloads ranking in the US.

“Work For It” has what it takes to climb the Billboard Hot 100 and the iTunes charts!

The lyrics for “Work For It” are by Garrick Smith, duo Ryan & Smitty, producers and songwriters for Chris Brown, Cody Simpson, Ray J, Nicki Minaj and The Lonely Island ft. Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga.

The music instead is written by Symphony Latrice Green, Pop / R & B / Hip Hop author and singer from Los Angeles.
